Wirecast 9 is here, featuring PTZ camera control, a new control surface, plus Facebook encoder pairing.
Wirecast version 9 now includes PTZ control for PTZ and robotic cameras. Control cameras within Wirecast and switch between them. You can add each of them as different shots, even though they may be different angles from the same cameras – simply select the shot and Wirecast will move the camera. This new feature works with cameras that support visca over IP control, such as PTX Optics cameras.
x-Keys is a brand new control surface for control of Wirecast. Custom designed buttons allow tactile operation of Wirecast software when switching your live shows. x-Keys control surface attaches via USB and works on both Mac and PC.
Anybody can now stream to any Facebook page with just a user code using Facebook encoder pairing. This is a great feature for users who don't want to share full login information, access and admin privileges to their Facebook pages.
There is now a new way to add and manage sources. This new menu supports categorisation, favoriting and searching as well as a new right-click quick access menu.
Wirecast Rendevous was introduced in version 8, allowing you to bring in remote guest by sending them a link - no software to install - just a computer with webcam and access to the internet. In version 9, the Redevouz web console has had a redesign to make it easier to use.
With Wirecast version 9, you can now bring in up to 16 channels of audio per source. Avoid unnecessary upstream mixing and get the sound you want in Wirecast.
Wirecast ships with a free copy of NewBlue Titler Live Express, which can now be used to curate and display Facebook comments and post directly on screen in beautiful, custom animated templates.
