DigiBox at KitPlus 2021

If you the missed the DigiBox team at KitPlus last week, here's a round up of the show!

We were thrilled to be able to get back out and meet, network and connect with the industry again at last week's KitPlus show.

It's not every day you get to take over the big screen at London's iconic Twickenham Stadium!

The first in person trade show for our industry for well over a year gave us the opportunity to share a wide range of new products, including Salrayworks full NDI PTZ cameras, set up to display pin sharp close up images of the opposite end of the Twickenham stand. With the Salrayworks PTZ control software running on a laptop visitors had the opportunity to try out the camera’s 360 degree rotation and ability to store up to 255 preset movements.

RGBlink NDI HX PTZ cameras were also on display along with their mini pro video switchers, which can switch four sources and offer additional chroma key, PTZ and PiP functionality to enhance productions.

With 4 HDMI inputs and built-in preview on the TFT LCD display on the front panel you can see all of your sources, in real time, at a glance. The mini+ can be controlled directly from the front panel, or remotely via a LAN connection with apps for laptops and mobile devices, or integrated with third-party apps.

AJA mini converters including the T-Tap Pro, U-Tap and HELO were on display alongside the Ki Pro Go, a portable multi-channel H.264 recorder offering up to 4-channels of simultaneous HD and SD recording to off the shelf USB drives with redundant recording capabilities.

From professional IP video manufacturer Kiloview, we showcased the the brand new Kiloview P series. The P series are 4G LTE video bonding encoders, delivering a reliable, stable and cost effective solution for outdoor live streaming, specifically designed for mobile applications. The encoders adopt KiloLink – Kiloview’s patented algorithm to solve the problem of poor connectivity. The P series are ideal for outdoor live streaming and transmission scenarios such as live events, concerts, sports and remote broadcasts.

SNS EVO Desktop storage was also on show, being demonstrated alongside the SNS Sharebrowser Media Asset Manager, which enables users to organise and search for media and projects across EVO storage as well as local, offline and other SAN/NAS network disks.

Hot off the press we were delighted  to be able to show Theatrixx’ new instant media player, the xPressPlay which was launched to high acclaim at this year’s Plasa show. The xPressPlay has a 1 TByte, flash-based, storage capacity, and can recognise and playback most known video, audio, and image files with a minimal loading delay. The device is equipped with the necessary hardware and software to make switching between two clips instant and seamless. It is a professional device aimed at the pro-AV and broadcast markets, housed in a durable rack mount 1U enclosure and equipped with professional, locking connectors. The device can be controlled in several ways, including its on-board OLED display and encoder, web-based interface, DMX and more. External devices such as Elgato Stream Decks can also be connected directly to the media player for increased possibilities.

Another first for DigiBox at the show was the YoloBox Pro edition, the ultimate touch screen all-in-one multi-cam live streaming and switching system.

With built-in streaming services, the YoloBox Pro integrates directly with YouTube, Facebook and Twitch, adding graphic overlays and live comments to the stream, with Side-By-Side, Split-View chroma key options.  If you're looking to live stream without a complicated laptop set up, contact us for a demo.
